All Courses are designed in six week blocks as we transition you into a more regular workout routine

The first class of your block tends to go for the full 60 minutes whereas most weeks will be 45 minutes + connection time with other mums.

The Return To Exercise program is specifically designed to cater for EVERY mother looking to return to general exercise, weight lifting, sport specific training or even begin their fitness journey. 

A focused new approach to  alleviating new mums compromised nursing posture. We bring awareness to the impact of movement pattens and everyday motherly activities and making you a stronger, more resilient Mum.

  • When can I join the Limbar Mums program after giving birth?
    Minimum 6 week check by GP or OB, regardless of Cesarean or Physiological Birth
  • Are the classes suitable for all fitness levels?
    Absolutely! We deliberately start with the first 3 weeks as mat based. We focus on the small stabilising muscles and learn about pelvic floor and deep core muscles. Alike to mat pilates classes with more depth in how to breath and engage the core through every movement prescribed. Week 4 to 6 we introduce light resistance exercises and increase the range of movement. In week 6 we learn Barbell basics. No matter if youve never lifted a bar before or are a seasoned gym goer, you will relearn how to breath and brace. Lastly, by week 6 attendees will have started to see an improvement in our cardiovascular ability too.
  • How long are the classes and when are they scheduled?
    These are based on 45mins to 1 hour classes. They are at 10:30am with the days of the week specific to preferred location so please email admin@limbar.com.au or get in touch via social media to find out next kick off date for your nearest location
  • Can I bring my baby to the classes?
    100%. All of the facilities that we operate from are kid friendly so we introduce your bubs to the training environment early! Most women like to bring in the capsule, pram, bouncer or a blanket for the bubs to lay on while mum attempts her session :)
  • Do I need to consult my doctor before starting the program?
    Your 6 week check is most important by a GP, OB or Women’s Health Physio to receive clearance to return to exercise.
  • Can I join the program if I gave birth several months or even years ago?
    If you had a baby, you are postnatal, it doesn't matter the age of your children. If you are looking for a gentle entry back to exercise or would like to begin your fitness journey, this course is for you.
  • What is the Limbar Nutrition Bundle about?
    Limbar Mums Nutrition runs in conjunction with the movement classes. Over the 6 weeks you will learn the foundations of how to increase energy, regulate your hormones (as we know they are wild Postpartum) and how to implement some quick and easy strategies to improve overall health and wellbeing as a new mum. For those continuing with breastfeeding, this will also help you understand how to best support your baby's nutrient absorption through your choices of nutrition.
